Nick Player is a freelance musician and entertainer originally from Burnham on Crouch, Essex. He has toured internationally, along with long term residencies in Madeira, Crete and Turkey as well as aboard some of the most glamorous cruise ships at sea, where he spent five years as both a guest entertainer and resident musician.


2019 saw Nick recording with Sarah Mai & Her Little Big Band at Sugar Rays Vintage Recording Studio. Filming Amy Bakers music video “It's A Good Day” at former HM Prison Gloucester. Playing bass with The Jive Aces at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Performing with Rich Hall at The Long Road Festival to a crowd of 10,000 and he also celebrated his 250th show with Buddy Holly & The Cricketers.


Credits include: Rich Hall's Hoedown, Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story, The Roy Orbison Story, Buddy Holly & The Cricketers, The English Rock and Roll Orchestra, Life Could Be A Dream, Tommy, Rockin’ On Heavens Door, Rock ‘n’ Roll Paradise, Spamalot & The Rocky Horror Show, but to this day he has never appeared in an episode of Casualty.


On stage Nick is lucky enough to use an original Engelhardt Swingmaster upright bass, a custom made Greenboy bass cabinet kindly supplied by Tricky Audio, and custom bass pickups handmade by uprightbasspickups.com, he also has a very understanding luthier!
